Meet Our New Director of First Impressions, Haley Patterson!

We are thrilled to announce that we have hired Haley Patterson as our Indianapolis Office Manager and our Director of First Impressions. Haley joined us this September and brings with her great experience from her Theological Studies, work at Bonefish Grill, and time in Human Resources at Harrison College.

We’re grateful to have Haley on our staff.  Her quiet and kind demeanor are a perfect fit for our office.  She’s eager to learn, can assess current situations, and suggest new ideas or approaches to improve.

You can expect to interact with Haley a lot, as she will be the one greeting you at our downtown Indianapolis office.

As our Director of First Impressions, what are your job responsibilities?

I am the smiling face all of our guests see when they visit our downtown Indianapolis location. I handle scheduling, phone calls, and assist with sending invoices, billing, and answering questions. My goal is to make people feel welcome, whether that is in person or over the phone. My favorite part, however, is baking cookies each afternoon for our guests

What did you discover about your position during your first few weeks here?

There is always something new occuring that has not occured before. This means I learn something new every single day, which I love!

Why did you decide to come work for Stewart Richardson?

Tammy Vandervort reached out to me, knowing I was job hunting, and suggested I call about an opening they had. When I came in for my interview I ran into Tom Richardson getting on the elevator, who greeted me with, “I know who you are! I’ve seen your picture. You’re coming to my office!”.

I later learned they researched me on Facebook and, as silly as it may sound, I couldn’t have been happier with my first impression of this environment and the wonderful, welcoming people that work here. They did their research to make sure they found the right fit for the position, and they took the time to get to know me and my goals.

What are you most looking forward to about working at Stewart Richardson?

The people care here. That is something that had been missing from my old job, and it is so nice for people to love what they do and love coming into work each morning.

What are your favorite hobbies/activities?

I love doing yoga – I am almost done with my teaching certification! I also love taking and developing black and white photos in the darkroom. During the fall and winter, I thoroughly enjoy hiking and driving to new places.

What is one interesting fact about yourself?

I am allergic to trees and grass, as well as: peaches, pears, plums, watermelon, cantaloupe, soy, and raw nuts. My life is exciting 🙂

What do you like about working in Indianapolis?

There is always something going on and you have this perfect balance of big city life with that Midwest homey feel.

Tom Richardson described you as “empathetic, intelligent, and humble”. What three words would you use to describe Stewart Richardson & Associates?

Welcoming, professional, and experienced.

Tell us a bit about your family!

I live with my older sister, brother-in-law, and three year old niece who I love to pieces. I am her “Hay-lay” and she will argue with you about it.

Most of my family, including parents, grandparents, and cousins, live in my home town of South Bend. My brother lives in Michigan which is a quick drive from there, so everyone is close together. The minimum number of people at holiday celebrations is at least 19 people, so anytime someone is missing it feels weird.

Anything you’d like to add to tell our great clients?

What sets Stewart Richardson apart is that the people here care about what they do and love doing their job. They are always evolving to meet client’s needs and go above and beyond expectations.
