Annual Fort Wayne Chili Cook-Off November 5th

In the first year alone, the event raised $700 for Toys for Tots. They’ve since nearly tripled those numbers and expanded the event to include a raffle. This year, the best Santa in town will be in attendance.
It’s almost time for the beloved annual Trial By Fire Chili Cook-off.
It all began as an offhanded comment in a brainstorming session. Rosie Duehmig, Pam Dykehouse, and Tom Richardson were planning about the upcoming Open House, and Tom mentioned that he’d been to a great chili potluck in Evansville.
From there, the event expanded to its current place as a beloved Fort Wayne tradition for the legal community. The event meets a perennial need for toys for children in certain age groups that aren’t met by the normal donations while giving everyone a chance to try some great chili. Stewart Richardson is well represented at this event, including newcomer Rob Lime.
Fort Wayne Office Account Manager Pam Dykehouse is particularly ready enter the fray this year. “It’s been fun to see it grow and get new people involved,” she said. Her current recipes include a white and a no-bean chili (the latter of which her husband is greatly anticipating). “You never know who’s going to win!”
